Cycles of Time
[/b]

Total dark
no light ~ no life around
oblique shapes are remnants.
But who can tell what they mean?

Years or perhaps eons of time pass.
Another life form returns.
Perhaps aliens or a new form of life emerges.
Archaeologists or Paleontologists wonder what came before.

Trying to decipher the writings
on walls or the silver flat disks that remain.
Perhaps following the radio waves
from space and finding nothing.

Their interpretations ~ based on their own culture.
Not knowing the real meaning
or understanding what became of this life.

Perhaps it doesn't really matter
because our time is truly over
and we have lost our place in time.

Rosemary...I like the embodiment of this poem
but I do travel on the dark side... Grin
a few changes offered as suggestions use or lose...
