You only came back the one time

We were nuzzled in bed together

In that instant you were again mine

I remember the weight of your hand

Resting on my pounding heart

I was paralyzed: I couldn’t breathe, move, or stand

You were a stunning apparition

If I had known I could have found you

I would have been on the expedition

But you chose to come to me

It’s amazing the details you remember in a lucid dream

Your long dark hair winding up your arm onto me

You had my celtic skin, hands as pale as cream

What terrified me most about you

Was that you were relying on me for comfort

It’s like you’ve always been there and you always knew

We were breathing in unison the way I did with my own mother

How could you forget what I had done

You were the artist molding the situation like clay

This was no accident and no coincidence

You came back to me 3 years later, on Mother’s Day

I was so mad that you would do this me

You had to show me an actual instant that occurred

In another place and time where we were happy

I woke up so resentful towards you

At first terrified of your ghostly need to haunt me

And now...

I am desperate for one more dream featuring just us two

Last week I came across my old crappy camera, and there you were
So much of you
You smiling, pouting, making goofy faces...some photos blurred
And a lot of us.

It's been two years since then
So many things have transpired
I wasn't strong enough to be just your friend
Homesick for you, I was perpetually tired

Now I'm suffocated with my memories of you
The pain only subsides temporarily
And then its fresh all over again
I look back at that time with painful clarity

Why do you still have this effect on me today?
Is it because of the shared trauma of the fire?
Is it because you were the only one that got away?
Were we just a May/December romance that burnt too long on the pyre?

Could Plato's story be true?
Are we condemned to spend our lives searching for our other half?
What if you had already met, loved, and lost them, as I have with you?
When we reach the afterlife, will we see each other look back at this and laugh?

They say that you love people in different ways
that love is not measured in terms of quantity
Whoever said that was diluting their love to grey
I loved you more then the others, this is the deepest secret I hold in me

Jesus said...

I have failed.

From a King to a lowly servant,
I took you upon my shoulders.
carried you across deaths door,
yet you still are beholding to the serpent.

Laid down my life for humanity,
shedding all of my holy dignity.

From a Kings thrown on High,
only to be nailed to a sinful cross,
where my blood cleansed your soul,
yet, it is the serpent you still dignify.

Laid down my life for humanity,
shedding all of my holy dignity.

From a King of Kings,
laying pearls of goodness and love,
you were claimed as my very own,
yet, you discard Me as carnal things.

Laid down my life for humanity,
shedding all of my holy dignity.

I have failed
I have failed
I have failed....

Laid down my life for humanity,
shedding all of my holy dignity.

Father, I have failed.....

backstreetdreamer, I truly enjoyed in particular,
your first stanza...
"Gauze wings flutter in the sun, as lace embroidered dreams are spun
Upon each day in every way, so much to do, so much to say,
When golden moments form a chain and silver sequins paint the rain
That falls like eyes upon the air, that need to dream but never dare,
And silk intrusions wander by, like mirrors in a mosaic sky
Reflecting every sacred view, from silver dawn to twilight blue,
As whispered locket photos call, to dream leaves as they softly fall
Like ermine angels on the wing, they spirit dance and softly sing."

Just awesome...

The gorse in bloom’s vanilla scent can feel almost omnipotent
When moments dally on the air, and fragrant secrets sometimes share
Surreal sensitivity, subliminally blown to me
With such a sense of wonderment, I feel the touch of heaven sent,
Then from the river’s trailing arms, the Summer’s soul sends forth such charms
Resplendently they bob and sway, those remnants of the blessed day
In regal synchronicity, towards the distant waiting sea
And though the evening slowly starts, the day remains in many hearts.

The night wraps swathes of distant grey around the final shards of day
Where loneliness feels comfort kissed, and tucked up in a bed of mist,
Until the hours are bracelet linked, until the final star has blinked
Upon the hours of ebony that roam upon the moonlit sea,
Then suddenly the wheel has turned, the final lantern’s wick has burned
As moments shrink back to a size that makes the evening realise
That dawn is but a breath away, so crystalline the breaking day
And gauze wings flutter in the sun, as lace embroidered dreams are spun…
